The Surly Mechanics

The Surly Mechanics

The Surly Mechanics are father and son mechanics that learned to turn wrenches out of necessity.  Our goal is to make a living, not a killing.  We want to help you get back on the road or refurbish your cherished ride without breaking the bank.  Perhaps, we will even enjoy a laugh along the way...

We have experience in all manner of complex machinery although our focus is on civilian transportation.

The Elder Surly

The Elder Surly has experience in automobiles, submarines, motorcycles and a host of other related endeavors.  He was certified to supervise the operation and maintenance of the USN's nuclear submarines.  He earned a BSAST in Nuclear Engineering Technology in 2001.   His day job in the shipbuilding industry allows him the opportunity to assist DIYr's and keep fresh grease under his fingernails.  When not at the day job or turning wrenches, he can be found wearing the yellow suit of badassery, on two wheels, someplace in rural North America.
